The Garden Cinema 39-41 Parker Street London WC2B 5PQ
About this Event
As part of London Climate Action Week, the London Latino Film Festival (LoLaFF) is proud to present Golpe de Agua, a haunting and deeply moving documentary by Puerto Rican filmmaker Carla Cavina, screening at The Garden Cinema. Set in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, the film captures the emotional and human reality left behind after one of the most devastating climate disasters in Puerto Rico’s history. Through intimate testimonies and poetic storytelling, Golpe de Agua becomes not only a portrait of destruction, but also of reconstruction, resilience and collective strength. The screening will be followed by a special in-person Q&A with director Carla Cavina, Ian Redmond OBE and Fernando G. Champion, PhD, moderated by Sangeeta Laudus.
