Southwark Climate Day

Free community event where you can get free repairs, fix-up your bike, learn from inspiring speakers or skill-up at our workshops.

It’s open to everyone and is a drop-in event, meaning you can come at any point and stay for as long as you would like.

You can stop by for 15 minutes and look around our stalls, or stay for the duration and get involved in some workshops.

All day stalls and pop-ups

This year we have even more to offer as part of our community climate fair running all day. You can:

• join our clothes swap and bring no more than five pre-loved items which you can exchange for new-to-you items, run by LOANHOOD
• get household items repaired (like headphones or textiles) by fixers from Repair Café Nunhead
  get free energy advice for your home – including how to keep your home cool during the warm summer weather
• get your bike serviced or fixed for free by a bicycle mechanic
• buy and donate second-hand bicycles and raise money for charity
• get a free health check (blood pressure, weight, alcohol and stop smoking advice, cancer screening and more)
• pick up new skills, ideas, and sustainable cooking recipes
• meet like-minded neighbours and local groups

Workshops

We also have lots of exciting workshops running throughout the day, including theatrical performance as well as classes where you can learn new skills. Some of these workshops will have a limited number of spaces so you should reserve a place in advance to avoid disappointment.
