About this Event
Hosted by UK International Development, the ClimateShot Investor Coalition (CLIC), and IDH Invest, this interactive London Climate Action Week (LCAW) event aims to contribute to a more actionable understanding of how to close the persistent gap between available capital and the financing needs of climate-vulnerable food systems.
Drawing on experience from blended finance vehicles, DFIs, local financial institutions, and agribusiness partnerships, the discussion will examine how capital structures, risk-sharing approaches, local currency solutions, and technical assistance models can be better aligned with the realities of smallholder agriculture and agrifood SMEs.
Participants will gain practical insights into the investment design challenges and financing approaches needed to unlock investment opportunities in climate-resilient domestic and regional food markets in EMDEs. The discussion will be followed by a networking reception.

The ClimateShot Investor Coalition (CLIC) is a global coalition of 46 organizations driving investment in low-carbon, climate-resilient, and nature-positive agriculture and food systems globally. CLIC is funded by UK International Development of the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO). Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) is the Secretariat of CLIC.
