About this Event

Every year at London Climate Action Week we create free Lesson Plans to engage all of London’s 3600 schools in action on climate change.

This year’s Lesson Plans incorporate LCAW’s #BeatTheHeat message with fun activities riffing off popstar Taylor Swift’s concert at Wembley Stadium, as well as highlight the role of the COP29 Youth Champion. The Lesson Plans are part of LCAW’s Schools Climate Action initiative which covers five major themes – the four ‘C’s and the one F’ – Campus, Curriculum, Community, Careers and Finance. It’s a great opportunity to link curriculum-based climate change learning with global and social learning for the Sustainable Development Goals and encourage pupils to practice social action for change. We use London as a living classroom to understand climate change and take action. Each of the five lesson plans, which are aimed at ages 10-14, are independent and can be used flexibility.
