Climate Governance Forum 2026
1 Birdcage Walk, London SW1H 9JJ
About this Event
The second annual Climate Governance Forum (hosted by the International Climate Councils Network and E3G) will bring together 200 stakeholders from across policy, business, the law, and academia for a half-day of high-level keynotes, panels, engaging roundtable discussions and networking.
One of LCAW’s flagship events for 2026 and part of the main programme, the Forum will examine shifts in the global rule of law, the multilateral system and climate legislation frameworks, and seek to identify opportunities to strengthen climate governance around the world. We will explore innovative governance models—including climate councils, citizen assemblies, and parliamentary reforms—designed to increase democratic participation in climate policymaking and safeguard the interests of future generations. Delegates will also get the chance to meet representatives from more than a dozen climate councils around the world. Confirmed speakers include:
- Gina McCarthy, Chair of America Is All In, former White House National Climate Advisor and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator (keynote)
- Mary Robinson, Former President of Ireland and former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, former Chair of The Elders (2018–2024) and current Elder, Planetary Guardian
