Building Tomorrow’s Industries Today: unlocking investment across the clean industry value chain
City of London (address to be shared with confirmed guests)
About this Event
In a world shaped by persistent geopolitical tension and energy volatility, the energy-intensive industries that underpin modern life are being reshaped. Fossil fuel dependence exposes economies to price shocks and supply disruption. The strategic response must be to invest in more resilient industrial systems.
New data from MPP’s Global Project Tracker (to be released in June) will reveal a step-change in clean industry investment, with new industrial value chains beginning to take shape. The next phase – rapid growth that can secure industrial competitiveness and long-term resilience – requires building stronger markets for clean products.
At London Climate Action Week, Mission Possible Partnership is hosting an interactive session with trailblazing leaders from across finance, industry and policy to examine how demand certainty, catalytic capital and cross-border partnerships can unlock investment opportunities across economies.
The session will be chaired by Prashant Rao, Global Managing Editor at Semafor, and will welcome speakers including Olivier Mussat, CEO of Atome; Natalie Blyth, Global Head of Sustainable Finance and Transition at HSBC; Dr Yan Zhang, from the China Iron & Steel Research Institute (CISRI).
Mission Possible Partnership
Mission Possible Partnership (MPP) is an independent non-profit organisation advancing global clean industry transformation. Since 2019, we have been working with some of the most energy-intensive industries – aluminium, aviation, cement, chemicals, shipping and steel – to cut their global GHG emissions. We mobilise business, finance, government and civil society leaders to speed up the shift to clean materials, chemicals and fuels. Having charted sectoral pathways to net-zero, we continue to forge new territory, lifting the barriers to enable a critical mass of clean industrial projects to reach final investment decisions by 2030. Mission Possible Partnership has people and partners on the ground in North America, Brazil, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, India and Australia.
